Consulting

We all need help sometimes, and my consultation services aim to provide focused, high-level advice for any writing questions you may have. Unlike a writing course or workshop, which may include lessons you don’t need, my consulting sessions will target only your problem areas for maximum efficiency. Designed to your preference, these sessions can be lecture-style lessons with supporting writing exercises, or discussion-based, surrounding a particular writing topic, or book of your choice. Whether you have a work-in-progress with specific issues to address, or simply want to hone your craft in a particular area, I offer a wealth of information developed over years of personal study and face-time with publishers and agents from all over Canada.

Pricing:

  • $60 per hour

Includes:

  • A meeting of pre-determined length
  • First 3500 words free + a 1¢ per word reading fee thereafter
  • Lecture slides or lesson plan (if applicable)
  • Any handwritten notes I’ve made on your manuscript (will not be as detailed as a developmental edit).
