Editorial Assessment

Similar to a developmental edit, this will provide a big-picture assessment of your manuscript. I will tackle all the major story components that agents, publishers, and readers will be looking for in your work including character and plot development, setting and sensory details, pacing, consistency and more. Unlike a developmental edit, this service will not include recommendations for revisions, or identify specific problem areas in your work. Instead, it will provide a summary of consistent issues with your story as well as strengths that should remain.

Editorial assessments are available for full or partial manuscripts.

Pricing:

• $35 per hour
• Minimum 10,000 words (40 pages)

All submissions must be in standard manuscript format: 12-point font, Times New Roman, double-spaced, 1-inch margins.
