Short Story Assessment

Short stories can be exactly the sort of quick-turnaround material that can attract attention to your work quickly. Shorter doesn’t necessarily mean easier though and this can become apparent after a few rejections. If you have a short story that’s not getting the attention you want, I can help. I’ll assess all major story components including effective character development, engaging hook, basic grammar and punctuation, and more. I will consider factors like your target outlet and target audience, and your chosen genre in my feedback.
